Since Edition #1 launched, the response from our community has been nothing short of remarkable. The energy surrounding TEDx Tinley Park continues to grow with every conversation, every shared post, and every new face that joins our growing circle of supporters. It is a genuine privilege to be building something this meaningful, right here in our own backyard.
We are counting down to October 4th — when the lights come up at Tinley Park High School and our speakers take the stage to share ideas rooted in our theme: "Community Comes Together." That theme has never felt more alive than it does right now, as neighbors, organizations, and local leaders rally around this event.

🎤 Speaker Applications Are Now Closed
We will be narrowing our speaker pool.
We have received 158 excellent speaker applications. We will be narrowing this pool of applicants. A great TEDx talk does not require a podium full of credentials. It requires a unique idea, a powerful perspective, and a story that genuinely connects with the people in the room. The best talks come from people who have lived something, learned something, or imagined something that others need to hear.
All submissions will be carefully reviewed by our selection committee, led by Speaker Coach Garret Gray. The committee is committed to ensuring that the speaker lineup reflects the true diversity of our community — in background, field, lived experience, and perspective. Every application receives thoughtful consideration.

The organizing committee is working energetically across multiple fronts to ensure October 4th is an exceptional day at Tinley Park High School. Venue logistics, event-day programming flow, and production planning are all actively underway, with committee members bringing their full dedication to every detail.
Audio-visual production is among the team's highest priorities in this phase of planning. From stage setup and lighting to sound and recording, every production element is being thoughtfully evaluated to ensure the final experience meets the highest standards — all ahead of our October 4th event date.
